AI makes it remarkably easy to explore ideas and get surprisingly close to the design or image you had in mind. The trouble often starts when something is almost right.
You ask it to change a logo, word, icon or awkward little detail, only to find that something else changes too.
A few prompts later, you can end up further away from the version you preferred in the first place.
Rather than endlessly regenerating the whole thing, I can use the version that got closest as the visual reference and rebuild, redraw or retouch what’s needed to turn it into something you can actually use.

The work you’ve already done with AI still has value. It may have established the composition, colours, style or overall direction far more clearly than a written brief ever could.
I can use that result as a visual reference and work out what needs to be corrected, recreated or developed for its intended use.
That doesn’t always mean producing an exact replica. AI can invent typefaces, merge elements together and create imagery or details that don’t exist as separate usable assets. Some things may need to be redrawn, substituted or adapted when the design is rebuilt.
AI can get you remarkably close. Good design gives you control over what happens next.

AI Logo Fixes & Vector Recreation
Got an AI-generated logo that’s close to what you want, but needs correcting or turning into usable artwork?
Where the design is suitable, I can redraw it as clean, scalable vector artwork, correcting shapes, spacing, typography and other details while keeping as much of the original character as practical.
Some AI-generated logos contain highly detailed, photographic or invented elements that cannot be reproduced exactly as useful vector logo artwork. Where that happens, I can simplify or adapt the design while retaining its overall character.
I can also create practical logo variations for different applications or develop the concept into a wider visual identity where needed.
Fixing & Recreating AI-Generated Artwork
AI can produce a surprisingly convincing leaflet, poster, advert, packaging concept or other layout, but the finished result is often just one flattened image rather than properly constructed design artwork.
If text, logos, imagery or layout need changing, I won’t simply patch new elements awkwardly over the top. I’ll usually use the AI-generated version as the visual reference and recreate the design with editable typography, accurate branding, appropriate imagery and considered layout.
The finished artwork may not be a pixel-for-pixel copy, but it can retain the direction and character of the original while becoming something that can actually be edited, updated and prepared correctly for use.

AI Image Repair & Brand Correction
AI-generated imagery can look incredibly convincing until you notice that the logo has mutated, the lettering has changed or the product suddenly isn’t quite the same.
Where the overall image works, there’s often no reason to regenerate everything. I can use Photoshop retouching and compositing to correct individual details while keeping the successful parts of the image intact.
This can include replacing inaccurate logos, correcting branded vehicles, products or clothing, removing visual anomalies and bringing a series of images back into line with your existing visual identity.
Reworking AI Icons, Graphics & Visual Detail
AI-generated icons and graphics can look beautifully finished while not actually representing what they are supposed to communicate.
If something looks right but means the wrong thing, I can redraw, replace or develop the visual elements so they suit both the style and the message.
The existing AI artwork can still provide a useful visual reference without having to preserve details that simply don’t make sense.
No Magic Red Button, Sadly.
Sometimes fixing an AI-generated image genuinely is a small retouching job. Sometimes the apparently tiny problem reveals that the artwork needs rebuilding.
If recreation is the cleaner and more practical solution, I’ll explain what needs to be done rather than disguise the problem with a quick patch.
The amount of work depends on what you have, what needs changing and what the finished design needs to do. I’ll make good use of the direction you’ve already established, but I won’t pretend every AI problem can be solved with one click.

2. I’ll Work Out What’s Needed
I’ll take an initial look to establish whether the problem can be corrected directly or whether part or all of the artwork needs recreating.
This initial review is simply to understand the likely scope and provide an estimate. Detailed checking, experimentation and design development form part of the project itself.
3. Fix, Recreate or Retouch
Depending on the job, I may redraw vector artwork, rebuild a layout, retouch imagery, replace unsuitable elements or refine the original direction.
The aim is to preserve the idea rather than blindly reproduce every AI-generated detail.
4. Put It to Work
The finished artwork is prepared for its intended use, whether that means scalable logo files, editable marketing artwork, print-ready design or carefully retouched branded imagery.

Can You Just Fix One Part of My AI-Generated Design?
Sometimes. If the problem is within an AI-generated image, such as an incorrect logo or unwanted visual detail, it may be possible to correct it directly through Photoshop retouching.
If a leaflet, poster, advert or other design exists only as one flattened image, changing a single element may not be practical without compromising the artwork. In these cases, I will usually recommend recreating the design using the existing version as the visual reference.
Can You Turn My AI Logo Into Vector Artwork?
Yes, if the design is suitable for vector reproduction.
I can recreate an AI-generated logo as clean, scalable vector artwork and correct or refine details where necessary. Highly detailed, photographic or heavily textured designs cannot always be reproduced faithfully as practical vector logo artwork, so some elements may need to be simplified or adapted.
If you need to take an AI logo to vector format for print, signage or wider brand use, I can advise on the most practical way to recreate it.
Will Using My AI Concept Make the Design Cheaper?
Potentially, but it depends on the project.
If you have already established a clear direction that you are happy with, this can reduce some of the initial concept exploration. However, the AI-generated result may still need substantial recreation, retouching or design development before it is ready to use.
I’ll base my estimate on the work actually required rather than assuming that an AI-generated design is automatically quick to finish.
Will My Recreated Design Look Exactly Like the AI Version?
Not necessarily.
AI can invent fonts, imagery, shapes and details that do not exist as separate editable assets. Suitable licensable imagery may also need to replace AI-generated elements, and some details may need to be simplified or redesigned when the artwork is recreated.
I’ll aim to retain the overall character and direction you liked while explaining where practical changes are needed.
Do I Need to Tell You How the AI Design Was Created?
Usually not. What matters most is the version you want to work from, what you like about it, what isn’t working and what you need the finished design for.
If something about the source material affects how it can be recreated or used, we can deal with that if it becomes relevant.
Can You Create Something Completely Original Instead?
Absolutely. Fixing AI-generated work is simply an additional service for people who already have a concept or image they want help with.

Clients are responsible for making sure they have the right to use any material or references they supply.
