I was super happy to work on this cycling sportive event artwork, as it’s for a cause close to my heart – combating climate change. It’s also run in conjunction with Friends of the Earth who do some incredible work. Please visit the page and enter the event to add your support.

As you can see from the image above, I created a range of sizes and formats to suit different purposes. On the event web page, I used a slimmed-down version without the need for the Velo29 branding along the bottom. The main image further up the page, designed for use on social media, includes the Velo29 branded footer along the bottom of it. Including the footer area means that it can easily be recognised as a Velo29 event.

5 Dales sportive Web Design

For the 5 Dales artwork, we wanted to get away from a concept that literally showed a cyclist riding a bike. As each of Velo29’s events has it’s own distinct design and branding; it’s imperative to keep each one unique. While it needed to show some scenes of the 5 Dales, where the event takes place, I had to find a creative way to portray cycling. The double exposure of the cogs overlaid onto the landscape was a great way to achieve this.
